Graphite color refers to the natural color of graphite, which is a is a type of coal. Graphite is a form of carbon and in Greek “graphein” means “to write”. Traditionally, it is used to transfer the spoken word to paper and is found in every pencil. It is a very dark shade of gray – warm, close to black, but still lighter in tone. It can be a great alternative to black and, like black, will never go out of style.
