Emerald cycling socks – our new shade of green
Emerald cycling socks – inspired by the color of an intensely green gemstone. The color is derived from green with a slight hint of blue and is attributed to the gemstone of the same name, which can actually be of different colors, ranging from cyan to bottle green.
Emerald is a rich and luminous color with a delicate blue tinge, along with its close relatives bottle green and sea green. Emerald appeared in the color palette in the 16th century, and it gained the greatest popularity in the 19th century – it was loved by Impressionists such as Monet, Van Gogh or Cézanne, it was often found as the color of walls and clothing. At that time, this color was called Paris Green, Veronese Green or Imperial Green.
Emerald is associated with elegance and luxury that only the finest jewels can provide. It also brings to mind nature: lush grass, dense forests and deep sea. It symbolizes royalty, wealth and refinement, but also plant freshness, vitality and harmony.
